Growing up life seemed like a big game of chess. Everyone seemed to have a piece in the game, some won and some lost. Except, I felt like I hadn't been invited to play. I was a spectator looking in, from the rims of the board; an outsider with no part in it. As I overcame my feelings of worthlessness through different avenues, including my own therapy, I began to feel that perhaps I did have a part in this game after all.

Nobody had to invite me, I just needed to step in to it. This process was painful, it took time and a lot of hard work. But it left me feeling powerful, capable, and strong. I began to dream more, demand more and accept more. Most importantly I felt worthy of love and worthy of life.

When you work with me you can expect compassion, and hope when you feel self hatred and  hopelessness. From time to time we will revisit your childhood wounds and also it's gifts, so that you can free yourself from those negative messages and behaviors that might be hurting you or your loved ones.  

You will regain your sense of worth, and you will become more accepting of yourself. 

I am a genuine, compassionate and a playful therapist. I use insight, art, and play to help my clients soothe their pain, regain hope and bring joy back into their lives.

 I will ask purposeful questions to help you find answers within yourself. 

I love to laugh and don’t mind being silly. With my little clients I get down and dirty with them, and most sessions happen on the floor. My adorable dog Puff is always in sessions with us. He is a 16 lb. hypoallergenic dog that brings joy and calmness to our time together.

My Credentials
I hold a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.  I’ve been a therapist since 2004, working in different settings and with different populations. I’ve been in  private practice since 2013 and have loved every minute of it! I have in depth training in child and adolescent therapy, Gestalt therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma and Neurofeedback.
